“When I first saw the finished tapestry, I was blown away. It fills the space exactly as I had imagined it would. I love the natural stick it hangs from, which adds another beautiful element of nature to the piece and helps bring the outside in.
I absolutely love the multitude of different textures and the tactile nature of the weaving. I love the freshness of it, and particularly the little specks of gold woven throughout, which catch the sunlight beautifully.
I appreciate looking at it every day — honestly, I probably look at it 50 times a day. It has become such a special part of our home. Whenever we have guests over, the weaving is always a talking point. It’s one of the first things people see when they enter our home and it always makes an impression.

“This piece was commissioned to remind us of a family holiday to Cornwall and the stunning Cornish coastline. It has become a living memory of that time, while perfectly filling the large, empty space we previously had in our home. We chose to display it on the main wall of our living room — the heart of our home — and it brings such a sense of calm, peace and tranquillity to the space. Alex completely understood and translated our thoughts and ideas into the weaving, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
I love the negative spaces within the piece and the way it gently tapers towards the bottom, giving it a much more organic feel than a traditional square or rectangular artwork. The fringe makes it particularly special to me, creating a beautiful contrast with the wooden hanging at the top and framing the piece so naturally. There is something wonderfully tactile and inviting about a weaving; unlike a painting, it feels like an artwork you want to physically connect with. When I look at it, I can almost see the waves crashing against the Cornish coastline.
Six years on, we still receive compliments every time we have guests over. It has become so much more than something beautiful on our wall — it is a constant reminder of a special family holiday and a memory that we get to live with every day.”

“This piece is truly majestic, just like the mountains of the Lake District that inspired it. We wanted something large scale that would create an impact and captures the sense of vastness and beauty of the landscape we love. It’s not just the colours that make it so special, but the incredible variation of textures throughout the weaving and the beautiful, flowing fringe. I particularly love the length of the fringe and the asymmetrical shape — these details give the piece such a wonderful sense of movement.
As it hangs in our staircase, I see it several times a day, and it has become a constant reminder of the beauty of the Lake District and a place that holds so many wonderful memories. I love that you experience the weaving differently depending on whether you’re looking at it from the top or bottom of the stairs; each view gives the piece a different feeling and makes it feel as though it is moving with you as you pass.

The combination of deep blues, soft turquoise, earthy greens and sandy tones immediately brings us back to the coast.

We absolutely love our tapestry. It’s become the highlight of the room and somehow makes the whole space feel warmer and more complete. We love the different textures and little details, and it’s amazing how much character it brings to the room.
We find ourselves looking at it all the time, and whenever we have friends or family over, it’s always something people notice and comment on. It feels very special having a piece that was made specifically for our home, and we really can’t imagine the room without it now.
