1. Who we are

alexhoran.co.uk is run by Alex Horan, an individual artist based in London, England ("we", "us", "our"). We are the controller of your personal information under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email info@alexhoran.co.uk or write to [postal address].

2. What information we collect

We only collect what we need to sell and deliver your weaving and to reply to you.

  • Order details: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number (if you give it), what you bought and what you paid.

  • Payment details: these are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.

  • Messages: anything you send us by email, contact form or social media, including commission briefs and photos of your space.

  • Mailing list: your email address, if you sign up for updates.

  • Website use: basic technical information such as your device, browser and the pages you visit, collected through cookies (see section 6).

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website.

  • Essential cookies keep the site working, for example remembering what's in your basket and keeping checkout secure. These are always on.

  • Analytics cookies show us how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We only use these if you agree through the cookie banner.

You can change your choice at any time through [the cookie settings link at the bottom of the page], or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop the shop from working properly.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you

  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete

  • ask us to delete your information

  • withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our mailing list

To use any of these rights, email info@alexhoran.co.uk. We will reply within one month. Some rights have limits; for example, we must keep sales records for tax purposes even if you ask us to delete them.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
