There is something timeless about the sea, its constant movement, its rhythm against the shore, and the quiet pull it has to draw us back again and again.
‘Sea Breeze’ was created for an avid swimmer living on the south coast of England, inspired by his deep connection to the ocean and the feeling of freedom found within it. Layers of deep blues, turquoise, soft creams and sandy neutrals ebb and flow across the piece, reflecting the meeting of rolling waves and sandy shores. The contrasting textures move between soft and sculptural, creating the sense of a landscape constantly shifting beneath the surface.
The flowing fibres at the base become a gentle echo of the water, moving freely and instinctively like the tide. Created to soften his living space and bring an element of the great outdoors inside, ‘Sea Breeze ‘ holds a little of the coastline within its woven layers, a reminder of salt air, bare feet on warm sand and the soothing rhythm of waves returning to shore.
