'City Escape'

£850.00
Sold

110cm x 120cm

Created for a couple living in the heart of Lyon, France, this piece is a woven celebration of the quiet places we find amongst the busyness of everyday life.

Inspired by the beautiful parks where they retreat from the rhythm of the city, the piece reflects the feeling of wandering beneath leafy canopies, where the outside world seems to soften and time slows for a while. Earthy greens, soft creams, deep woodland tones and touches of golden yellow weave together like fragments of a hidden garden.

Layer upon layer, the fibres meander and intertwine, echoing the untamed way nature finds its own path. Rich textures, curling threads and gentle waves of colour create a landscape that feels as though it is slowly growing and unfolding before you. The loose fibres that fall from the woven layers invite the piece beyond its edges, like grasses swaying in a gentle breeze. A small reminder that amongst the noise and movement of city life, there are always places to pause, breathe and become quietly lost in nature.
